Kenzo creative directors Carol Lim and Humberto Leon tapped American independent filmmaker Gregg Araki, one of the leading lights of the New Queer Cinema movement, to write and direct an original short film featuring the brand's fall collections for men and women. Inspired by Nowhere, Araki's 1997 film from the Teenage Apocalypse Trilogy, the short takes place in a bar where a variegated cast of characters dabbles with love-related sentiments, including a young nun.
